Need to make a change to an active meeting request? Sometimes after sending out a meeting request your needs change based on new information. CalendarHero makes it easy to ask your invitees to select a time based on an updated meeting timeframe or duration. Alternatively, you can instantly schedule a specific date and time if needed.
Rescheduling an Upcoming Meeting (via Web)
Is your meeting already booked but do you need to change it? Easily reschedule your upcoming meeting directly from your meeting's Upcoming Task card. Click "..." and then "Reschedule" to get started. Depending on your needs you can either select to ask your invitees for a new time that works for them or reschedule to a specific time.
Ask my invitees to suggest a new date and time, based on the time frame below
- Select "Ask my invitees to suggest a new date and time, based on the time frame below" to easily reach back out to your invitees to ask them to select a new time.
- Use this option if you aren't sure of the best time to schedule a meeting.
- Specifying a time range will cancel the original meeting and send an email invite to your invitees asking them to select a new time to meet (within that range) based on your availability. You can choose to have your assistant send the updated invitation, or you can send it via a Private Link.

Reschedule to a specific date and time, indicated below
- Select "Reschedule to a specific date and time, indicated below" to simply move the meeting to a preselected time.
- Use this option if you already know what time you want the meeting to occur. For example, if you need to quickly bump your meeting start time back by 30min.
- Note: Your assistant will alert you with a scheduling conflict if you select a time that you are already busy with another meeting/event.
- Your assistant will email your invitees and let them know the meeting has been rescheduled. All attendees' calendars will automatically be updated with the new time.
Rescheduling an Active Meeting Request (via Web)
Have you sent out a meeting request but you need to make a change before the meeting is booked? Or maybe you sent a meeting request but now have a specific time in mind for the meeting? No problem! Easily update an active meeting request directly from your meeting's Active Task card.
To get started click "..." and then "Reschedule Request". Depending on your needs you can either select to ask your invitees for a new time that works for them based on your changes (time frame and/or duration) or you can reschedule to a specific time.

- Select "Ask my invitees to suggest a new date and time, based on the time frame below" to easily reach back out to your invitees to ask them to select a new time.
- Use this option if you have timeframe and/or duration changes, but aren't sure of the exact time to schedule the meeting.
- They will send a new email invite to your invitees asking them to select a time to meet based on your changes and your availability. You can choose to have your assistant send the updated invitation, or you can send it via a Private Link.

Reschedule to a specific date and time, indicated below
- Select "Reschedule to a specific date and time, indicated below" to simply move the meeting to a preselected time.
- Use this option if you already know what time you want the meeting to occur. For example, if your client called and mentioned a specific time to meet.
- Note: Your assistant will alert you with a scheduling conflict if you select a time that you are already busy with another meeting/event.
- Your assistant will email your invitees and let them know the meeting has been booked for the time specified. All attendees' calendars will automatically be updated with the new time.
Rescheduling via Chat
Next, you will be asked what you want to change and can enter a specific date and time (e.g. "August 8 at 10 am") to move your meeting to a predetermined time or specify a wider time range (e.g. "August 8 - 10th" or "next week") to ask your invitees to choose another time that works.
- Specifying a specific date and time will automatically move the meeting to that time (and even book a new room for you, if you used the CalendarHero room booking integration!)
- Specifying a time range will cancel the original meeting and send an email invite to your invitees asking them to select a new time to meet (within that range) based on your availability.
On Yes the meeting will be rescheduled and the meeting attendees will be automatically notified of the meeting changes.
