If you were assigned a meeting, and ownership was transferred to you this would have happened if the meeting was one of the following:
- The meeting was booked using "Round Robin" meetings - and you were the selected assignee
- The meeting was booked on your behalf using "On-Behalf Meeting"
Round Robin
Round Robin meetings allow users in the same organization to distribute meetings between specific members based on their availability.
If you have been assigned a Round Robin meeting that means your availability matched the needs of the external invitee(s). The invitee would have selected a time based on the availability of all those members added to that Round Robin meeting.
Once a time is selected and meeting is booked, the booking is automatically assigned to the member (in this case you) who matches that availability. In addition meeting ownership is transferred to you (from the user who created the meeting) and added to your calendar. The meeting will also now appear in your (Completed) Task list.
On-Behalf
On-Behalf meetings allows Corporate users to easily substitute another member's availability instead of theirs. If you have been assigned selected as the substitute that means the external invitee(s) would have selected a time based on your availability.
When the meeting is booked, the meeting ownership is transferred to you (from the user who created the meeting) and added only to your calendar. The meeting will also now appear in your (Completed) Task list.
